Mr André Fortin, MNA for Pontiac and Assistant to the Minister of Finance, announced funding support for restoration projects for 3 churches including Christ Church Aylmer. We will receive $71,306 for the restoration of our stained glass windows.
We are grateful for Bob Wilson and Pierre Brisson's forethought in applying for a grant through the Quebec Religious Heritage Council some months ago to make this happen. The next steps will be going to tender to obtain quotes for the work then forming a team to oversee the project.
We will keep you informed as we progress with this and other Beautification Projects such as repainting the front doors and replacing the plexiglass covering the front stained-glass windows.
