All are welcome at Christ Church Aylmer! Whether you're looking for a new church home and family, visting the area, or wanting to see what church is about, we invite you to come to a Sunday service.
SPECIAL 10 am service this Sunday January 29: Instead of the 9:30 service, we will have a joint bilingual service with our francophone sister parish, St. Bernard de Clairvaux, at 10 am. Afterwards, all are welcome for a potluck lunch in the parish hall. Bienvenue!
Regular Sunday service times
Our 8:00 am Sunday service usually includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion. It follows the book of Alternative Services, without music. This service is quiet and reflective, usually with few children attending.
Our 9:30 am Sunday service usually includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion, following the book of Alternative Services, with a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary music.
- The 9:30 am service is geared towards families and those who enjoy lively music during
their worship.
- This service includes a children's program (Sunday school) for kids of all ages, which meets meets in the lower parish hall. Teachers lead kids out of the main service at the end of the first hymn and return them in time for communion. Parents are welcome to accompany their children to Sunday school, leave them in the care of the teachers, or keep them in the main service, as they prefer.
- After the 9:30 am service, stay for coffee time in the parish hall, where we enjoy fellowship, coffee, tea, juice and goodies.
Notes for parents
- Children are welcome in church. If they'd like, kids can play with the toys, books and colouring supplies at the back of the church.
- There are quiet places suitable for nursing at the front of the church (downstairs) and in the lower hall.
- There are diaper changing stations in two locations in the parish hall: in the upstairs bathroom and in the lower playspace.
